This experimental collaboration between Stephanie Grainger and myself, led to us becoming fascinated with mixing analogue and digital techniques. We create stories using drawing, painting and hand drawn animation skills in combination with, digital creation, motion graphics, animation and music.
Promised Land
On a walk in East Sussex UK, near Pevensey Castle, we came across this metal wind pump. It pumps water from the ground for the farm animals and to keep the water levels in the fields constant. It’s constructed of simple materials like angle iron. Completely fascinated by not just its mechanics, but by the sound it produced, I made this computer model.
